Protect Your Green Business with Hortica’s Knowledge

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the home office of Hortica and talk with their President and other executives on their team. We discussed the true benefits of being a specialized insurance carrier and how that adds value to our current and future customers. But there was one client testimonial that really stood out to me.

A few winters ago in a town north of Edwardsville, Illinois, there was a greenhouse that caught fire due to the cold, dry conditions. The structure itself was okay, but the top burned off completely. The customer was very worried, as he should be, about his crops inside the greenhouse dying from being directly exposed to the cold. Immediately, though, Hortica's knew how to help. Because of their past expertise and knowledge in the greenhouse manufacturing industry, they were able to walk the customer through the next steps to take to save his crops. They also had contractors on site within a few days to fix the burnt-off roof.

The takeaway?

Most people think of insurance as something you must purchase, but in this instance, there were benefits far beyond the financial implications that Hortica – a specialized insurance carrier in the green industry – was able to provide. We at Professional Insurors also know these benefits, and that is why we pride ourselves on having an exclusive partnership with Hortica.
